Incluzia is a Winnipeg-based, Canadian company focused on advancing health and housing outcomes through innovation, education and technology.
Established in 2022, by our founder Marnie Courage, (Occupational Therapist, Accessible Housing and Life Care Planning Expert) we have been working on creating transformative digital platforms, building professional capacity through our education and offering consultation to advance outcomes for people with disabilities, older adults and their supporters.
Our Advisory Board includes healthcare experts, housing specialists, product and service providers, people with disabilities, older adults and caregivers, who help inform our product development and service delivery.
Our Canadian AgeTech and Health-tech research partners and project supporters have helped to ensure our offerings are evidence-based and meet the growing needs to optimize health and housing outcomes for people with disabilities, older adults and their supporters.
For older adults and people with disabilities to be living in accessible housing and have equitable access to the health, financial and social supports they need throughout their lifespan.
To optimize health and housing outcomes for older adults and people with disabilities through innovation, education and collaboration.
Inclusion– striving for diversity, equity and inclusion, so people across age, ability, identify and background are welcomed, respected and able to participate fully.
Empowerment– supporting older adults, people with disabilities in shaping thier own lives by expanding access, autonomy and opportunities for wellbeing.
Integrity– building trust through transparent communication, ethical decision-making and accountability to the communities and partners we serve.
Creativity– bringing fresh thinking and innovative problem-solving to the complex challenges of aging, housing and health.
Contribution– advancing better health and housing outcomes by sharing expertise, strengthening partnerships, and creating solutions that optimize outcomes for older adults, people with disabilities and their supporters.
It is a basic human right for all people to have equitable access to housing.
Unfortunately, many people with disabilities and older adults in Canada are inappropriately housed in long-term care facilities or are living in unsafe and inaccessible dwellings in the community, because they do not have access to affordable and accessible housing or the support services they require.
The problem extends to availability of accessible housing as the existing housing stock does not meet the growing need of Canada’s aging population and people with disabilities.
Canadians require more affordable and accessible housing options to optimize health and wellbeing.
Older adults, families, and the professionals who support them struggle to navigate the systems and plan for aging in the right place because the information is fragmented, unclear, and is hard to trust. Financial support is spotty at best and Canadians are struggling to find and afford the services they need when they need them most!
